The State CIO sponsored the Portfolio Management Implementation Project to respond to legislative mandates for improving information technology planning, project management and investment accountability.
Project Portfolio Management is an integral component for accomplishing the three initiatives listed below:
Perform strategic planning for identifying the best IT investments.
Manage projects for superior results.
Manage legacy application (installed departmental business/program systems) for reduced risks of failure and optimized life-cycle benefits and costs.
